We offer 5 different redemption solutions to fit different types of businesses. After you've decided which redemption method works best for your business, follow the instructions below, detailing how each one works.
There are a few things we can do to help promote your deal. We have logos you can embed into your website to promote schedules, online reservations, and special phone numbers. Please email prepare@bargainbee.com for details.
BargainBee iPhone App Redemption: Recommended!
• After you've installed the application to your device, open the application and log into your merchant account.
• Wait for the application to launch. Each time it launches, it syncs with your BargainBee list online at BargainBee.com.
• When the list is finished synching, the application screen will look like a camera interface. Once you see the crosshairs of the camera, you're ready to use the application.
• Scan each barcode from either a printed BargainBee voucher or a customer's mobile BargainBee application. You'll know it's scanned successfully when the voucher any status is returned.
• Once the application scans the barcode, it will return one of three responses:
• "Redeemed" means that the voucher is valid and you can begin entering the customer's total bill.
• "Used" means the customer already used that voucher. Our Merchant application will tell you when it was redeemed.
• "Not Found" means the customer's not using the right voucher. Often, customers will either print the wrong voucher, or pull up the wrong one on their smart phone.
• If the voucher is valid, proceed to enter the total bill that the customer spent, including the value of the voucher. The cash total that the customer owes you will appear on your phone.
• If the voucher is invalid, you can show the customer that the voucher presented has previously been redeemed, and ask for a different form of payment.
• Each time you restart the application, your online BargainBee list syncs with your device, so you can easily track who has redeemed their vouchers, and how much they've spent.
Online Redemption: A simple way to track customer spend and keep your numbers up-to-date.
• Log into your merchant account.
• Once you are logged in you will see here that you can preview your feature before your deal goes live as well as a tab called "Online Validation".
• Click "Online Validation." It's is the fourth tab from the left in your Merchant Center
• In "Online Validation", you can choose to enter codes in bulk (a good solution if you've written down the numbers from the day) or redeem them one-by-one.
• Enter each code(s), and on the following screen you will be allowed to enter the total bill amount or any other notes.
• As you enter each code, the corresponding voucher will be checked off your list, and the bill amount will be tracked in your Merchant Center, helping you track ROI and overspend.
Paper Redemption: Old Faithful.
• Log into your merchant account.
• On the yellow menu bar, you'll see "Export List". Select your newest feature and then click "Export Vouchers", and print out a copy of your list. ** Redemption numbers are listed sequentially. Each time a customer comes in, cross off the number that correlates to their voucher.
• Even if you're using paper, we recommend that you track customer spend and put this information into your Merchant Center. This will help you track important information like ROI.
• Make sure to print another list a week after your feature runs. The new list will include the codes of customers whose credit cards lagged in the days after the feature.
Automated Telephone System.
• As customers come in simply dial 1-877-853-8632.
• You will be prompted to enter the 10 digit voucher number located on the left bottom corner of the voucher. At this time the automated phone system will return one of the following prompts:
• This voucher is approved, press 1 to redeem voucher now. Once the 1 button is pressed on your keypad it will prompt you that the voucher has been updated in our system.
• The voucher has already been used, goodbye.
• Invalid voucher number.
• If the voucher is valid, accept the voucher and remove the amount shown from the voucher off of the customers ticket.
• If the voucher is invalid or already been used, then simply tell the customer that the voucher presented has previously been redeemed, and ask for a different form of payment.
